A series of black and white portraits dedicated to the many faces 

that illuminate the Rutgers Newark Art School. And, most importantly, the 

faces of not just my classmates, but my colleagues and friends. 

 

As a result, the goal of "WHO WE R" is to captivate the viewers'attention 

to understanding the true essence of every individual and their personality within their portrait. Compelling enough, these portraits also tell a story. The story 

of their everyday lives as students and artists within the Rutgers Newark 

Community.

 

With a mixture of poses, facial expressions, and hand gestures, I managed to capture a moment in time. A moment full of personality. Moments of happiness, 

humor, thoughtfulness, intensity, and playfulness. Nonetheless, their transparent

nature as young artists. 

 

Ultimately, "WHO WEW R" is a living testament of our artistic presence within the Rutgers Newark Community and beyond. Serving as a platform of the legacy we are leaving behind for other future art students to follow.
